What teacher(s) or instructor(s) had the most dramatic impact on your life, and how exactly?

My most influential teachers have been my parent's Donald Louis West, Sr. and Debra Elaine Holmes West, I. Both of my parents are tremendous intellects and gave me the tools to succeed, but more importantly the freedom to find and create my own path.

Some of my other notable teachers include:

Mrs. Karen Mason, (2nd Grade - Oakwood Academy, Huntsville, Alabama), Mrs. Mason was an extremely kind woman! She nurtured my intellectual curiosity and made going to school 'fun.'

Mrs. Smith, Chemistry, 11th Grade - (Huntsville High School, Huntsville, Alabama), She pushed me to accept being gifted intellectually. Her constant suggestions of more that could be done, set a new level of expectations within myself.

Mr. Swanson, Civics - (Huntsville High School, Huntsville, Alabama), Mr. Swanson developed a deep passion and understanding of the broad community that we live in. His unique class structure still stands apart in my experiences

Professor Smith, Dept. of Psychology - (Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida) Dr. Smith was the first professor to take a special interest in me and my educational goals far beyond the normal course of interaction. Our lunches and conversations help me continue to believe in my dreams and have concrete confirmation that I was on the right track.

I've always wanted to be one. Thought this would be a good start. I'm thinking it would be easier for me to first get a gift shop. Teaching gymnastics (learning, first) and becoming a doctor will take some time.
